IntraVenous Drug User (IVDU) Program

Heroin and opioid use is an epidemic in Kenosha County. At KHDS, we have the IVDU Program to help address the needs of those seeking treatment for IV opioid use. Our IV Recovery Coordinator meets people as they come to our office or through our crisis services to assess their needs. Social detox is available at our KARE Center. Together, a plan of care will be created and referrals will be made to a Recovery Coach, counseling or, in some cases, even inpatient care if needed.

Throughout the year, our IV Recovery Coach hosts four Community Discussions on Heroin where families, providers and those in the recovery community can get together and come up with ideas to address how to make a change in our community. We know that recovery is hard but we are here for you! Walk-ins are always welcome. We’re here to help!
