November 13-November 24, 2019 is National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week. All week long there are activities planned that you can participate in which will help shed some light and bring awareness to needs of the hungry and homeless in our community. Throughout the week, you can support your local food pantry! Organize a workplace food drive or donate non-perishable food items. Here are some hard facts: Since the beginning of 2019 there have been 255 mass shootings in the United States. Statistics added on August 5thof this year show that there have been 33,237 shooting incidents resulting in 8,796-gun deaths and 17,480 injuries. We are, by far, the most violent nation in the world. This month alone we have had three mass shootings – El Paso, Texas, Dayton, OH, and the Gilroy California Garlic Festival shooting.
